Blackstone Canmore, Canada is minutes from the Banff National Park. And you haven’t seen mountains until you have taken the drive from Banff to Jasper in the Canadian Rockies. Situated just 90 minutes from Calgary and the International Airport, Blackstone Canmore is a brand new quality Apartment/Hotel complex, boasting a fine selection of facilities with a view of the three sisters’ mountains. Waking up in suite 307 to those mountains and taking breakfast on one of the two balconies is something else and the perfect start to your day, whether you be in spring, summer, autumn or winter.

Blackstone Canmore is a purpose built development combining quality fittings to make your stay very very comfortable. It is a short walk from the town and by car or public transport you can get to the nearby resorts of Lake Louise and Banff for that winter skiing. The Olympic facilities from 1988 have been reinvented to provide an area for many annual competitions and sporting events. These were the games made famous by ‘Eddie the Eagle Edwards’ and the ‘Jamaican Bobsled Team’.

Blackstone Canmore offers pools and hot tubs for an oasis of enjoyment and rejuvenation, the barbeque areas offer a perfect place to congregate on warm summer evenings. The onsite gym lets you stay in stride with your routine. (If you want to).

I love Canmore. It is perfectly situated for access to the Banff National Park. In the evening the town comes alive with live music and plenty of ‘civilised’ bars for eating and drinking, after those daily activities, be them walking, hiking, cycling, tennis, skiing, or golf. I cannot decide my favourite time in Canmore. Talking a Brewsters Coach through the Rockies and onto the Athabasca glacier in the summer time is as great as winter wonderland scenes.
